How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
Some discouragement that I have learned on my road to success has been, "you aren't good enough", "you won't make money!", "They might not hire someone that looks like you", "You aren't talented enough."
How I responded:
The number one way I have learned to combat the noise is to always stay focused not only on my goals, but what I believe my mission in life is. I believe my mission in life is to help and educate others, in music, in life and to support others in reaching their dreams. I understand that my goals will also affect those I will help and support, the noise is enough of distraction to keep me from fulfilling the things that I wont for my own satisfaction, but won't stop me from helping others.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I overcame this hurdle by realizing that it’s okay, that I was going to struggle, and that there is nothing wrong with seeking out resources to help me.
