Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
Nothing negative about my choices. I was blessed with very supportive parents, friends, and teachers. I provided my own noise when I would question my choices.
How I responded:
When I questioned my major, it was the best thing that I could have done because it caused me to change majors and put me on a path to the career that I have now, which is exactly where I need to be.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My diabetes is a part of my life, like breathing. If I ignore, I die. It has caused me to have to really focus on how I am feeling internally 24/7 to protect myself from low blood sugar and that is exhausting, especially when I have 40 students/day.
