Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
You don't stand a chance being from a small school. (Some context: this comment came from a booth at a career fair as I was exploring job opportunities. I was very taken aback and frustrated with the comment.)
How I responded:
Take that discouragement and turn it into motivation! In my case, being from a smaller school, I worked hard to get into a well respected graduate program. This was what I needed to open doors into a PwC internship. I worked hard at my internship and was thrilled to receive a full-time offer. I started my career in 2008 with PwC and the rest is history. I could not be more proud of my journey or where I ended up!
