Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

    Left my home town.

  • 2.

    Entered the United States Air Force at a young age and saw others with education.

  • 3.

    I started officiating basketball and other sports, this made me a better decision maker.

  • 4.

    I got my first self controlled promotion in the military, I had to study to get this, it proved the significance of determination and dedication.

  • 5.

    Completed my first degree, an Associates Degree from the Community College of the Air Force, gave me my first real accomplishment.

  • 6.

    Completed BS, MPA and got other promotions in the Air Force.

  • 7.

    Retired from the United States Air Force, caused me to realize I needed more education.

  • 8.

    Published my first book, it was the result of being away from my family.

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Some doubt you because they don't see the benefits of hard work. Some believe that your focus on anything other than them is problematic.

  • How I responded:

    Success often comes in a vacuum, you actally have to be selfish on some levels. Establish the goal, reach for it and let no one stop you or discourage you from completing it.
