My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I wanted to be an engineer like my dad and big sister. They had a successful career.
2.
Then I went to Italy after I finished high school and lived with a Cardiology nurse for a year.
3.
I joined a local volleyball team and the coach was a Cardiologist that worked with my host.
4.
They really inspired me, the nurses in the hospital had a cake for me for my 18th birthday.
5.
I eventually returned to Venezuela and applied for Medicine.

You won't make it to the US, it is impossible for foreign people these days to get a residency spot.
How I responded:
I prepared myself, days and months of consistency, I studied the methods and took all the board exams in no time but staying focused and keeping my goal in mind every second.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
There are limited spots for international medical graduates in this system, but at the end, people realized they need the best for the job, and the smart ones can see that person might not be US born and educated.
