Life & Career Milestones

I've taken a lot of twists and turns

  • 1.

First I taught high school physical education and english. Liked students better than subjects!

  • 2.

Got into great schools: psychiatric hospitals, detention centers, and teen mom schools.

  • 3.

Moved to Middle East...found an International School there, with all kinds of fun kids.

  • 4.

Found a woman's transitional house who needed me to raise funds and educate the public.

  • 5.

Then I went to coaching school with another friend from my High School!

  • 6.

Realized people need to make their lives better! And they deserve to have the best life ever!

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Peers:

Why on earth are you leaving North America? You always go into strange and dangerous places.

  • How I responded:

I just listened to my heart. And I love the saying, "What do you have to lose?" If I can answer 'nothing important', I go full steam ahead!

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • No one really knew how to take my new wealth of information. They all thought I was trying to be argumentative. I had to keep an open ear to listen more, and recognize not all learning comes from school. They were smart, too!
