My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Earned my degree in Music, while waiting tables for income.
2.
Continued to wait tables while I figured out what to do.
3.
Got a full time call center job that paid me less but had benefits and a regular schedule.
4.
After a couple years I learned some valuable skills and got a job in IT Recruitment.
5.
Few years later, decided sales was not for me.
6.
Now I'm an Implementation Specialist, working with clients and managing projects.

A music degree? What are you going to do with that!?
How I responded:
Actually, my father was a big determining factor in completing my degree. He sat me down and explained the importance of the degree, not what I studied as much, but that it showed work ethic and competency that any employer will value. I accomplished a large goal.
