Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
You should find a more traditional profession. Being creative is not a real job.
How I responded:
It is good to have some noise in your head. Because if you can hear the noise and still decide to go for it then you are starting on the right foot. A lot of people pick design simply because it seems fun and nontraditional. Those people quickly find that it is a real job and involves a great deal of work. Being "creative" is a small part of my day. Unless you can be happy doing all the things that have to be done before you get to the creative..... pick another job and be creative as a hobby.
