My Day to Day

My work is all about making a difference through philanthropy. I collaborate with nonprofits, helping them improve their programs and secure funding to amplify their impact. My work involves meetings, reviewing proposals, and connecting organizations with the resources they need. Whether supporting youth or strengthening organizations, I’m driven by the goal of creating lasting change—ensuring every dollar we grant has the biggest possible impact on people's lives.

Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

    I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

  • 2.

    I discovered my passion for nonprofit work during my co-op at Drexel University, where I started teaching English as a second language and GED prep.

  • 3.

    After teaching abroad in Japan and France, I returned home unsure of my next steps, which led me to pursue an MBA at Temple University.

  • 4.

    Despite feeling out of place, I boldly declared I wanted to work in nonprofit finance during my MBA program—and it became a reality.

    I got my first philanthropy role at the Nonprofit Finance Fund, helping childcare centers in Philadelphia improve facilities and programs.

  • 6.

    At the Philadelphia Foundation, I oversaw the grant-making portfolio, supporting a wide range of organizations across youth development, education, and healthcare.

    My current role at Citi Foundation involves national and global philanthropy, where I help nonprofits scale their impact and create lasting change.

    Throughout my career, I've stayed connected to my roots in Philadelphia, continuously working to support the city and its communities, which shaped who I am.
